June Blog Post – Twenty Five Months of Sweet Baby Levi Rhett!

Summertime out here on the farm is nothing short of a dream come true

and these little cowboys of ours

sure are in country boy heaven these days

exploring and running free on this slice of pure heaven on earth

that we get to call home!

I loved getting to write a fun little monthly blog post over on the EMC blog

(aka my online scrapbook hehe)

with all the fun and adventures June has held so far!!

Truly living the days I always prayed for out here raising these sweet little ones out on our dream farm sweet farm

and couldn’t be more grateful to the Lord for planting our family

and our God-given dreams here!

This farm has shown us, ten-fold, how God’s plans for our lives are immeasurably MORE

than we could ask, dream, or imagine and every day just feels like such a gift from Him!

Wide open spaces for our babies to roam and explore, the prettiest sunrise and sunsets each morning, and being surrounded by nature way out here in the country… I’ll never get over it!

Ever since I was a little girl, I have dreamed of  living on a farm (my Mamaw always told me I had a “country girl heart”) and it is just so full-circle how our journey and story has led us to

plant our family back in the area where my family roots are so deep! It truly feels like God had this beautiful property in store for us all along and I will never stop praising Him for all that He has done!

This month (yesterday marked 25 months of Sweet Baby Levi Rhett hehe) has been full of so much joy

as we celebrated both (!!) of our late May babies’ birthdays (their birthdays are just 5 days apart!)

with all the balloons

and birthday cake fun,

went on our annual Memorial Day Weekend trip

down to the beach house,

took the boys on their first trip to the NC Aquarium,

put together the boys’ new backyard playhouse from Wes’ parents,

did our annual Build-a-Bear trip

or birthday bears,

welcomed in sweet summertime out on the farm with all the water toys,

took our first trip to our small town splash pad of the season,

took the boys to their joint birthday wellness checkup (so thankful for our happy and healthy baby boys!),

daddy built

the boys’ new treehouse swing set

(such a dream come true and we have been loving it so much!), have had our first summer garden harvests (SO much homegrown goodness y’all!),

went on our first pool trip of the summer

(aka our second home these hot summer days!),

have soaked in sweet days exploring out on our land,

saw our first baby deer out on our property (little Bambi!!),

took our first summer trip to Strawberry Hill for peaches and icecream (the best!),

had the best birthday weekend

(with a pool day, date night at the Piedmont Club,

and Wes got me my dream white porch swing!),

we hung up the old county map drawn

by my Great Grandpa in 1927 (so special!) given to me from my parents,

have enjoyed popsicles by the pool

and nights out in the garden,

Daddy got us a new duvet cover for the Master bedroom,

we took Sweet Baby Levi Rhett to the barber shop for his very first haircut

(be still my heart!!),

picked my very first flower bouquet of the season from the garden,

Daddy built the most special swing set for the boys overlooking the pastures,

and we had the best time celebrating Daddy

for Father’s Day Weekend!

Hearts truly overflowing with gratitude in this season of life

and just soaking it all in

as it is officially my very favorite time of year –

sweet sweet summertime!!

God has been so good to our family and we couldn’t’ be more grateful

to have found our forever farm and get to raise our babies

the way we always dreamed and prayed for!!

What a gift from above it all is!!
