Two Whole Months of Sweet Baby Levi Rhett!

Happy happy two months full of the sweetest newborn snuggles, smiles, and coos with you here,

our sweet sweet Baby Levi Rhett!!

It is hard to believe you have only been here (outside of mama’s belly, that is!) for just 2 months…

because it feels like we’ve known you forever

and truly can’t imagine our life or family without you now!!

You have brought so much JOY to us all –

and there is truly nothing I love more than both starting and ending my days nursing and snuggling you…

my version of heaven on earth!!

You are the happiest lil’ dream baby

and smitten with you is an understatement!!

Judson has been absolutely thriving as a big brother

(God really answered my prayers here abundantly more!) and so has our puppy Red, too hehe!!

I sure do love being surrounded by all these sweet boys of mine

and feel so blessed that the Lord saw it fit to give us another baby BOY in our Sweet Baby Levi Rhett

to join all of the Mabry family fun!!

I love being “their girl” hehe!

Every day just keeps on getting sweeter and sweeter…

watching you and Judson’s little relationship continue to develop

and all the #fullhandsfullerhearts now

as a brand new party of four and boy mama times two!!!

I’ve truly never been happier than being mama to my TWO baby boys and greatest blessings in the world… and these sweet boys of mine will forever and always be my home!!

We have been soaking in so much sweet family time at home and are so excited to take our little baby on his first big “trip” to the beach this coming weekend!! Eek!!

Baby bliss is such a real real thing around here and we are soaking up every single minute of this #newbornandtoddlersummer sweetness!! Our days are full of morning and evening walks (with Levi Rhett either sleeping in the carseat or in my baby carrier on my chest… the best!), lots of brother lovin’ (Judson LOVES to “give kiss kisses to bubba,” rock him in his carseat, “help” change diapers, and sing to baby… melt my heart!!), nursing and snuggles (basically… eat, sleep, snuggles on repeat hehe),

lots and lots of front porch swing rocking (Baby Levi Rhett’s favorite!), and thanking Jesus for this precious new season of life as a family of FOUR (eek… I still can’t believe it)!!

You truly are just “along for the ride,” sweet baby boy,

and such a content little baby and the perfect addition to our family!!

Judson loves you so much he has already told me he “wants mama to have lots more babies” haha – so I guess you could say that’s a win… give me all the babies, Wes!!

We love you more than you could ever know and are so grateful for your precious little life, our angel baby boy!!!

And now to recap all the sweet memories since my last blog post (aka… the last month – so if you haven’t already… make sure to go read my birth story blog , “first 2 weeks” blog, and one month of Levi Rhett blog, too!!

Soooo with that being said… let’s start off with recapping allll the sweet memories from this past month:

And that’s why God made a front porch…

 Goodness, we sure do love a sweet slow newborn snuggles Saturday around here - spent on the porch pretty much start to finish!! Like my mom said when she came up to visit, it’s almost like the Lord knew that this porch would be heavenly for this season of raising babies - and gosh, it truly is where we want to spend all of our times these days - we basically live out here!!

The baby loves sleeping out here (it’s so cozy and gets the best breeze in the afternoons, too!), and Judson loves playing with all of his toys - so it really is the perfect spot for this #toddlerandnewborn summer!!  

I sure do love sweet and slow front porch mornings with these cutie pie boys and our snuggly little love!! The birds chirping and the morning sunshine coming through the porch feels so heavenly - with the sweetest little view!!

And nothing better than ending the evening rocking my baby on the crickety old porch swing and watching fireflies - it just doesn’t get better than this y’all!!

Pure Sunday morning sweetness from this little lump of sugar!! You truly are a blessing sent straight from heaven, Sweet Baby Levi Rhett!!

Oh, how we love and adore you so… how did we ever live without you, our little angel?!

It was the sweetest little Sunday that weekend with our little lump of sugar.

Our only “plans” for the day included newborn snuggles upon snuggles (I could eat Sweet Baby Levi Rhett’s little dimple right up!!),

slow front porch time with these cuties,

making some yummy caprese salad fresh from the garden,

and ended that sweet Sunday evening with a little icecream date!!

We are full blown summer lovers around here!!!

The other night a couple weeks back, Wes and I realized that we closed on our 15 acre farm sweet farm exactly a year ago from that day!! What a happy happy day this was, and to think that this exact time a year later… we have another sweet newborn baby boy here in our arms as we chase after the dreams the Lord has laid on our hearts!! I sure do love this sweet little country life with the sweetest country boys of mine to love in this season of #chasingdreamsandchasingbabies hehe!! #closedonourfarm #ayearago #themabryfarm

And in honor of closing on our dream land a year ago today… we decided to pack up both babies (so crazy that we can say that now!!) in the truck and have a little picnic out on the farm!! So special getting to have our tiny little newborn here along for our adventures, now!!

Truly living in the sweetest days of my life - the ones I always prayed for and dreamed of! I sure do love raising babies and chasing dreams with my very best friend!!

These truly are the days… I am loving our morning “Mommy & Judson time” while baby bubba is napping - and that particular morning, little J wanted to paint “just like mama” and made himself a “masterpiece” hehe!!

I love being “mama” to these sweet baby boys so so much!!

My sweet angel of a best friend Emily Tisdale came over the other morning (with even more food for our sweet fam - what a gem) and our babies had such a fun time playing out in the yard together (& sweet baby Levi Rhett slept right through it all in mama’s arms haha)!!! Gosh, it’s such a gift getting to raise our babies together in this sweet season of life!! I love you so much, em!

Nothing makes me happier than picking fresh flowers from our very own garden - our first bouquet of the summer!!

And “storytime” these days with Judson (aka he tells me stories while playing with his toys) while the baby is nursing is something I always want to remember hehe - I love his whittle voice & creativity!!! And then “Dada” came home with a summertime treat hehe - RUN and try the Chickfila Cherry Berry frosted lemonade, y’all!! I did a little work on updating our baby books while my snuggly little love was napping in my arms - and truly just thanking Jesus for this sweet precious season of life - my happiest yet!!

Sweet Baby Levi Rhett… we are so BEYOND smitten with you, sweet angel baby boy!!!

Tummy time (& all baby play mat time!) is a family affair around here hehe  - and Judson sure is your biggest cheerleader for #babysfirsttummytime (on the mat) – click through this post to see the SWEETEST videos ever of Judson cheering Levi Rhett on - it melted me!! Be still my heart!!

Goodness gracious, Jesus really knew what he was doing giving me these two brother besties first!!

I love their little relationship so much!!!

Judson ADORES “his baby!” One napping in my arms while the big one plays - this is how we do it these days and I love it!

And that day we had the sweetest little naptime storytime… this is the absolute SWEETEST book for little boys, mamas!!

And ended the day with a yummy meal and baby wearing the newborn and a cutie pie toddler who wanted to dress up and “match” his Build-a-Bear bear (all on his own - how cute!!) that night in their little overalls - simply the best!!  These are, hands-down, the sweetest days of my life!!!

We sure do love America and babies around here hehe!!

 Happy 5 weeks of pure #newbornsummer bliss, our Sweet Baby Levi Rhett!! Judson wanted to “put the blocks out” to celebrate that day - we sure do love and adore your sweet angelic self so!!! And your big brother is soooo proud of you!!

And my little country boy sure was feeling alllll the USA and Fourth of July spirit around here hehe - He loves America and his sweepy baby brother, too hehe!!

Sweet Baby Levi Rhett’s little one-month checkup could not have gone better!! And Judson sure is one proud big brother getting to “help bubba goes to the doctor” these days hehe!

Our handsome little angel sure does love nursing and is already weighing 10 lb 10 oz - woohoo go buddy go!!

The doctor said that Levi Rhett looked perfect and healthy in every way!! He is one happy and healthy baby and doing great!!

We are so thankful for his sweet little self - these precious newborn days truly are the best and we are so grateful for one whole month of him here with us!!!

Thank you, Jesus, for the sweetest season of my life with my precious baby boys!!

I feel like I’m constantly just pinching myself that I get to have these TWO sweet baby boys to love!!  Jesus, you have been so good to me and I love this growing family of ours more than I could’ve ever imagined!! I sure do love being a mama of two - what a JOY to my heart it’s been watching Judson thrive and it’s truly like God MADE him to be the firstborn of our family and the best big brother EVER! I love him so much it hurts!

Now for a recap of another sweet day - that morning, both babies slept in and I sure did love some sweet post-nursing session snuggles with the littlest love hehe (& I fell back asleep with this little angel, too)! ALSO… this little angel baby gave us another 6️ hour stretch of sleep that night- I mean what?! I love a sweet slow morning with these cuties who wanted to majorly sleep in hehe - the best!! We had a slow day around the house and playing on the porch (& celebrated Levi Rhett turning 5 weeks old - oh how we love him so!!) and I could watch Judson play all day!!

I love seeing his creativity with his blocks and the way he makes up stories!!! He continues to blow me away - I mean, look at this wooden road he built all on his own?!

Judson has been SO interested in learning about Jesus these days and it’s truly making my mama heart so happy!!! I truly believe we are planting seeds for Jesus to grow, mamas!! And it’s been so beautiful to watch Jesus already working in His life and how He already asks to pray for our friends and family (& mama, dada & “baby bubba”) all the time!!! Raising the next generation to love Jesus is the best work we could ever do, mamas!!!

We took Levi Rhett to his one month appointment (he’s healthy and happy as can) and drove the most gorgeous country backroads on our way back home with a sleepy newborn - man, these are the days!!

And ended the night with bedtime routine and baby wearing… this sweet baby boy LOVES to be worn and this mama to two doesn’t mind it one single bit - it’s heaven to me!!

Thank you, Jesus, for some RAIN this particular morning (even just a little bit) – I had been praying for some - our plants, grass, and flowers needed it!!! Rain drizzling, baby sleeping, Judson playing, and our matching Caden Lane swaddle and robe which I linked for y’all over on my LTKit shop! Soooo buttery soft and heavenly y’all!!!

This #newbornandtoddler summer sure will be hard to ever beat!!

These boys are my whole world!! Goodness gracious I love these them and Judson’s love for his sweet baby brother!!! There is nothing like a squeaky clean newborn and this precious brother lovin hehe!!

Sweet Baby Levi Rhett is just the tiniest scrumptious little thing and I wanna eat him right up!!!

I mean… give me all the babies, Wes!!  

 After a cozy little rainy morning on the porch (& some new “happy mail” books that came in from Sally Clarkson that I’m oh so excited to start reading during all the newborn snuggles these days),

the sun came out and it was time for afternoon chores with my little country love while the bebe was napping!! We sure do love happy chickens and a happy garden around here!!  

And something I pray I always remember are allll the flowers from Judson these days! He has been loving bringing mama flowers - pretty much all day long - and it melts my heart!! You’re gonna be such a little heartbreaker, my sweet handsome baby boy!!

S U M M E R   F O R E V E R !!!

What a sweet summer Saturday with our little backyard splash pad - Judson had an absolute BLAST!! And Sweet Baby Levi Rhett was snug as a bug sleeping away in mama’s Solly Baby wrap (which is perfect for a newborn and so lightweight for these hot summer days) under the big canopy “Dada” put up for us!!

Is there anything better than a sweet tiny one month old napping baby on your chest… I don’t think so!! We also picked our first grape tomatoes of the season from our garden and Judson (our tomato-loving boy… just like his Daddy) immediately ate them hehe!! We sure do loveeeee summertime around here and making so many special memories this #newbornandtoddlersummer !!

Sweetest summer ever as a brand new mama of two - with a toddler always by my side and the sweetest tiny newborn baby who loves to sleep on mama’s chest!! I’m living my dream these days and will forever be a summer girlie - I guess that’s why the Lord keeps blessing Wes and I with these sweet summer babies hehe!!

We are making the happiest little backyard summer memories this year between allll the water fun and gardening and soaking it alllll up!!

And goodness… there is nothing sweeter than barefoot babies (and the sweetest little baby feet out of mama’s babywearing carrier)!!

I love Judson and Sweet Baby Levi Rhett’s precious little relationship already (big brother adoresss “his baby”) and it constantly melts my heart!! Thank you, Jesus, for giving me another sweet summer baby… they truly are the best and we are oh so smitten!!

My SUNDay Kind of Love!! Goodness gracious… it was the sweetest little Sunday morning ever with our sleepy AND smiley (at only 5 weeks old!!) lil’ baby!!!

Sunday mornings are oh so sweet with this little angel baby (who had been SUCH a good sleeper… what a gift from the Lord) - who woke up to nurse and fell right back to sleep to be mama’s little reading buddy in bed!! Thank goodness for the sweetest little Sunday morning coffee delivery from this honey of mine!! Andddd what a good SMILEY Sunday from this angel smiley baby - who has been smiling like this allllll morning!!! Be still my HEART!! I’m officially a puddle!!! And ofcourse a slow Sunday morning breakfast calls for cinnamon rolls, eggs & bacon for these hungry boys of mine!!

Especially hanging out on the front screened-in porch during the summer thunderstorm and talking about “all the noises God is making up in heaven” when we heard thunder hehe - sooo smart Bri!! I sure do love a sweet and slow little summer weekend these days!!

Babies & flowers - my very favorite things in life… forever and ever amen!! Living in the goodness of God and “abundantly more” these days and just oh so grateful to Him for our tiniest new blessing in Sweet Baby Levi Rhett!!! And so, fitting to walk out to our little happy garden while Judson is napping with my sleeping little in my arms to see even MORE zinnias blooming all around!! Such a sweet little “god moment” and so very fitting of Levi Rhett’s life verse that the Lord gave to me as soon as I found out I was pregnant with Him:

“Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.” // Ephesians 3:20-21

Man oh man… it’s just the cutest thing when your firstborn wakes up and immediately wants to “hold bubba” -  goodness gracious put a fork in me!! Thank you, Jesus, for the tender sweet big brother you made Judson to be and for our little one month old angel baby, Sweet Levi Rhett!!

It has been the happiest start to this “Fourth of July” week in our little home!!

We sure are smitten with our cutie little slice of blue-eyed all-american baby boy pie (whose sweet little self sleeps most of the time these precious newborn days) but has been smiling like crazy when he wakes up… and his whittle dimple will for sure melt your heart!!!

 Nothing says “Happy July” like a sweet morning bassinet nap on the porch and barefoot picking alllll the hot banana peppers from our happy garden!!

And everybody lovesssss spaghetti night in the Mabry household hehe - just like mama!!! I love cooking dinner with my cutie little “helpers” these days hehe!!  And nothing sweeter than a little baby who fell asleep right in daddy’s arms as soon as he got home from work that night -

be still my heart!!!

And so fun ringing in the month of July with a fun little summer night at the park with these cutie pie boys of mine - I am one blessed mama!!

You’ve been just that good to me, Jesus!

Been praising the Lord for His goodness to our family in this sweet new season as a family of 4️! He is just so good!! And gosh, so thankful that this little bundle of love (my newest little perfect SONshine) came into our lives and getting to reflect at my 6-week checkup (which went great!) on what a beautiful birth story Jesus gave us!! Happy “Fourth of July Eve” from all of these blue eyed American boys of mine!!

 Naptime was extraaaaa cute and patriotic for our Sweet Baby Levi Rhett that day… dreaming of red white and blue hehe!!  

And yay for 6 weeks of the sweetest lil’ American baby there ever was, baby’s first Fourth of July thee next day, and our first fourth as a family of 4️ - newborn style!!! The day before, a sweet family from church brought us dinner and it was so sweet!!

We are so thankful for all of the love and support in this sweet new season as a family of four!!

And nothing like starting off  Fourth of July Weekend like picking some fresh homegrown tomatoes!! Our cute little bell peppers are even growing, too!!

We went on the most beautiful evening walk on the trails by our house and ended the night watching the most stunning fireworks show in our little town - Judson LOVED it and Sweet Baby Levi Rhett slept right through it all hehe - the best way to ring in that “Fourth of July Eve!!”

Happy Fourth of July from our little cutie “dreaming in red white and blue” hehe! The whole fam slept in that morning after a late night of fireworks the night before and we were so excited for a fun first fourth as a family of 4️ ahead - newborn style!!

Hands-down, our sweetest Fourth of July YET with these TWO sweet American baby boys here to love!!! I sure do love Jesus, my sweet growing family, front porch country living these newborn days, chasing dreams out on our farm sweet farm, and America with everything I’ve got!!

It sure was the sweetest Fourth of July of my life and our first big holiday as a family of 4️!!

Our happy lil’ American “Born in the USA” baby Levi Rhett (in his Old Navy onesie - soo nostalgic haha) wanted to tell everyone happy Fourth of July, too (Click here to see the sweetest little coos and smiles)!!! I mean… can he get ANY cuter?!?! I wanna eat him up!!!

Can’t think of a sweeter start to this Independence Day than waking up to milk drunk nursing smiles

and then front porch rockin’ a sweet newborn baby who falls right asleep in your arms!!

I sure do love all these American boys of mine!!! And made farm fresh eggs and biscuits for breakfast, hotdogs for lunch and ribs for dinner - so I had some happy happy southern boys around here hehe!!

Judson was a big big fan of his new “American flag” swimsuit and baby pool that we ordered him for Independence Day!!!  Linked both of these for y’all over on my LTKit app, too!! Will be so fun all summer long!!

We took a fun little Fourth of July afternoon trip out to Strawberry Hill for icecream, tractors , and peaches with our sleepy little Sweet Baby Levi Rhett - our favorite things around here!!

And ofcourse drove out to our 15 acre farm sweet farm with the sleepy baby boys in the backseat - and gosh, this place just makes us all oh so happy!!! I love chasing dreams and raising babies with you, Wes!!

But out of all of our dreams, YOU are the sweetest American dream of all… our Sweet Baby Levi Rhett!!! Sweetest lil’ blue-eyed American baby I ever did see!!

And nothing better than ending my favorite Fourth of July yet with both babies down for the night and watching fireworks with my honey off our back deck - life sure is good in this “land that I love” - God bless America!!

We loved getting to let Sweet Baby Levi Rhett experience his very first Fourth of July at home sweet home (just like we did when Judson was first born) and made the sweetest Independence Day memories yet!! We sure do loveeee our happy American blue-eyed summer babies around here!!

Looks like we have another lil’ water baby y’all!!! Sweet Baby Levi Rhett got to have his first “dip in the pool”

Our first real “pool day” as a brand new family of four (plus sweet Red hehe) to ring in this year’s Fourth of July weekend!!!

We sure had fun fun fun in the sun this year’s Fourth of July weekend - naptime pool hangin’ with my honey while the babies were napping and then such a fun afternoon with this cutie pie swimming fish of ours - and the other tiny fish napping in our arms!!

A little trip (baby’s first “overnight trip”) back home sweet home to my parents’ house in Charlotte was the perfect ending to the happiest Fourth of July weekend yet - as a brand new family of 4️!

On our way home to Charlotte, All THREE babies went down for naps in the car at the same time and we are so thankful that Sweet Baby Levi Rhett is another good little traveler!!

Nothing better than home sweet home with a brand new baby - gosh it’s sweet bringing your babies home to the home that raised you (just missing my 3 sissies hehe - I so loved growing up in a big family)!!! And oh, how special it is rocking my sweet lil baby in the very same rocker and room we were rocked in as babies!!

We are all sooo smitten by Sweet Baby Levi Rhett - I mean…. I wanna eat him and his little DIMPLE up on a spoon!!!! He cannot possibly be any cuter!!!! We sure do love a good slow Sunday morning back home!!

Family walks back home on these beautiful streets just hit different!

And this little cutie pie got to meet his “Auntie MOJO” (my little sissy), too!! We love you so much, sis!!

And we loved spending the rest of the day by the pool with our little fish!! What a FUN Fourth of July  weekend indeed - our favorite one yet!!

Everyday is Independence Day around here!!!

Long live summer around here - these are the days y’all!!!

Waking up to our little American cutie pie baby and allll the brother sweetness every morning is the best gift from Jesus - I am one blessed mama by all these baby boys!!

Things we have been loving these days: allll the newborn cuddles from Sweet Baby Levi Rhett (our little angel), homegrown tomatoes, farm fresh eggs from our ladies, afternoon “car wash” time (aka… excavator and dump truck wash) on the back deck (another great “mom hack” if you will - keeps J occupied for hours!!),

Babywearing a sleeping babe and sweet little Judson on his bicycle and riding his little blue car for our evening walks,

lots of morning walks on the trails and playground outings, tummy time with our little baby (who loves laying on mama’s chest), anddddd in other news…

someone peed AND poo-pood on the potty all by himself yesterday - totally independently!! I linked our little “training potty” (Judson picked out all on his own) for y’all over on my LTKit app - it even flushes and everything hehe!!

I am livinggg for these sweet summer days with my toddler and newborn - and it’s been the sweetest summer of my life!! Soaking it allllll up!!

Oh, how mama adores you… my Sweet Baby Levi Rhett!! Being “mama” will forever be my favorite title and greatest calling in life and I am so grateful for this precious new addition to our growing family!

This verse is so perfect for motherhood and raising little lambs! My whole heart behind this little Instagram account is to show the beauty and JOY of motherhood - in a world that can be so negative about it!! Children are a blessing and a GIFT from HIM - that I will never take for granted! From my kindergarten/prek teaching days, to my time working with little ones in Uganda, to now being a stay at home mama to my two babies …. I have always adored children - Jesus’ “little lambs” - and man, I sure am thankful for doing motherhood with Jesus - and watching Him work in the lives of my babies… truly nothing like it in the whole wide world!!

My sweet sweet friend Emily came over to visit last week and hold Sweet Baby Levi Rhett - and even brought us the yummiest dinner and gifts (you know us so well - the little cow stuffed animal/farm book for the baby and a sourdough bread warming set/butter curler for me), too!! You are the most thoughtful friend and we loved having you over today for porch time and allll the sleepy baby snuggles!!! And yes… anyone who comes to my house these days WILL be leaving with some fresh eggs from our ladies and tomatos - we have more than we need!!!

And happy 7 weeks of the most joyful days with you here, Sweet Baby Levi Rhett!! Oh, how we adore you SO, our tiniest little smiley SONshine!!! Your big brother Judson absolutely adores you and I love seeing y’all’s precious little relationship right from the start these newborn days!!  

Judson has been “fixing” everything (hence his John Deere toolbelt!!) in our house today and it’s been the cutest thing hehe!! Look at my little carpenter (my maiden name andddd fun fact… my great grandpa who BUILT this house was a carpenter, too - it runs in our blood)!! And man, these are the days - I will never get over that we have this sunset walking view right next to our house (my great grandparents’) for this season - nights like this forever and ever amen!!

The greatest gift you can give your child is a sibling!!

But really… the best gift we gave these two precious baby boys is EACH OTHER! My heart mayyyy actually melt from all of this cuteness y’all - no one can prepare you for this kind of sibling love!! Jesus truly answered my every prayer - even down to how much Judson adores being Levi Rhett’s big brother - man He is faithful and oh so good!!!

When you’re living the days you always dreamed of as a stay at home mama…

What a fun little morning we had out and about around our sweet little town!! Nature exploring and playground time for Judson - and some sweet shady breeze snoozin’ for Sweet Baby Levi Rhett under the prettiest trees!! I love being a mama of two and this #newbornandtoddlersummer has been the sweetest of all!!

And a neat little “god story” - I went to grab coffee to surprise a friend and, as I went to check out at the drive through window, they asked me if I wanted a free drink that they had “just so happened” to make extra - so not only did my friend and I get a drink, but I came out with a whole EXTRA free drink!! That’s “god math” if you ask me!!

Anddd back home, fed the toddler lunch, and got some sweet newborn snuggles with bubba while big brother was napping!! I love being a mommy - best job EVER!

PS. Also… flowers that Judson “picked for mama” at the park are the best part of my day… everyday!!

These are the days! Still pinching myself that this is our “walking view” these days on our sunset evening walks by the house for this season!!

From playing with diaper boxes (another little “mom hack” for y’all… if you will hehe! Don’t throw out those old diaper boxes - they make great #boymom toddler entertainment while you’re nursing the newborn hehe), to taking my babies to the playground during the cooler morning hours, afternoon barre workouts with the cutest “workout buddy” (highly recommend Barre Definition for any other postpartum mamas out there - she has a postpartum specific program!!), andddd hearing the sweetest sound I’ve ever heard from our cutie pie blue-eyed doll baby (click through this post to see) - all that bathtime and coo-ing fun made for the sweetest sleepy baby last night before our walk - we are loving this sweet season of life as a new family of four!!

In a world that screams more more more, I want to live sweet, slow, and simple! In a world that tells you that being a stay at home mom isn’t “enough,” I can tell you it is the MOST important job I have ever done! In a world that says not to “spoil” your babies, I am thankful to have nursed my firstborn until he was 2 years old and now having the most beautiful breastfeeding journey now with my sweet baby #2! In a world that says you can find fulfillment in the things of this world, I can tell you… Jesus is the only one who will give you this kind of JOY!

My sweet hubby and I recently sold our cutie fixer upper home in the city (that we poured our heart and soul into) to come move up to my great grandparents’ old family farmhouse for this season so that we could buy our dream 15 acre property to build our dreams on and give our babies the country childhood we dreamed of (really since before we even got married)!! It has been such a season of “slowing down” and “enjoying the simple things in life” these days… like a rickety old porch swing… and just so so good for the soul! And not to mention, we added another newborn baby to the family just a month ago, too - God knew!! Anyhoo, God’s plans are always ABUNDANTLY more than we could dream up! And sooo worth the adventure!! Just say yes!!

And babywearing the newborn while pushing the toddler in his little blue car is how we like to do morning walks this #newbornandtoddler summer hehe (when Dada’s at work)!! Andddd apparently it’s Christmas in July over here according to Judson haha - no joke, he randomly has been obsessed with the cutest little “Smells of Christmas” book (that my parents bought him for Christmas) this weekend lol!! Happy happy “Christmas in July” from our fam of 4️ (still can’t believe I’m saying that)!!

Oh what a fun summer pool day we had at Wes’ parents’ house last weekend with our little fishie Judson (our little water baby was swim swim swimming away today!!) and our sweet lil’ snuggly summer baby Levi Rhett - who took some sweet naps on their dreamy front porch swing looking out over the pond and with RaRa under their front porch fan (that he loved smiling and staring at - it was the cutest thing)!! These lil’ summer babies sure do love their grandparents and coming out for all the water, tractor riding, and country life fun!!

In my “baking fresh sourdough bread  for my family for the week” era…

Really that midnight oil baking my sourdough loaf late the other night - but my oh myyyy look how pretty she is!!! Nothing better than a fresh loaf of sourdough to feed my boys this week ahead!!

PS. Not bad for my first loaf back since having baby Levi Rhett (hehe peep the baby feet!!!) - and so crazy to think that I started baking sourdough shortly before finding out I was pregnant with him… and now he’s HERE and my newest tiny baking buddy sous chef!!

Sweet little moments from another sweet #newbornandtoddlersummer weekend around here!!

Forever grateful for slow mornings out by the garden with my little love before heading out to spend all Saturday at the pool with Wes/ parents!! And man, there is nothing better than waking up to the sweetest smiles from a sweet one month old baby on a Sunday morning before nursing him and him falling right back to sleep in your arms!! We did some sourdough baking (we’re back baby!!) and it was so neat having another little baby by my side as I was prepping the dough!! My sweet parents came to visit yesterday afternoon/evening and it was the best!! Allll the Sweet Baby Levi Rhett snuggles to go around!!! I love this season of life so much and am so grateful for this beautiful family God has blessed us with!! Raising babies in the country and chasing dreams with my best friend… man, life is good!!

A little naptime pep talk the other day while the babies were napping hehe - y’all… I was talking to my mom about it last weekend and I have been feeling so much in my spirit recently of the Lord pressing me to just “go for it” - God puts dreams on our hearts for a reason, and truly, why not go for it?!

Y’all… we have had tomatoes out our ears around here and our garden has been thriving this year!!! LMK if you want some tomatoes… but actually!!!

Nothing says summer in the south (and brings back childhood memories!) like a yummy tomato pie… so that’s just what I made last night (with a sleepy little newborn in my arms!! Lots of y’all DM’d my stories last night asking for a recipe.. so here goes nothing!!

RECIPE

Ingredients:

1 Pie crust, 8 Tomatoes, 1/4 Cup Fresh Basil Leaves (we got from our garden), 1 clove garlic, 1 Cup Mozzarella Cheese, 1 Cup Sharp Cheddar Cheese, 3/4 Cup Mayonnaise

1. Preheat the oven to 350

2. Mix the cheese, mayonnaise, and garlic together in a separate bowl

3. Layer tomatoes and basil leaves in the pie crust

4. Add cheese and mayonnaise mixture on top

5. Bake at 350 for 30 minutes

Well, this was a neat surprise package the other evening… John Deere (as in JOHN DEERE y’all!!) sent Judson a personalized note and brand new “premium engine toy” in the mail after seeing him in his John Deere toolbelt the other day!!  I mean… HOW STINKIN’ SWEET!!!

John Deere, you will forever have our sweet little Judson’s love after this core childhood memory he will always remember - and according to Sweet Baby Levi Rhett’s smile (in the video) - our second baby boy’s too once he’s old enough to play!!

Here’s to raising all of these #littlecountryboys with you, Wes, as we chase our dreams out on our 15 acre farm sweet farm!!! John Deere, we are so excited to have y’all along for the ride (and yes, Wes bushhogs our land with an old John Deere tractor (that Judson loves to ride on)… so we have raised Judson up right)!!!

I am one happy happy #boymama - full hands and fuller hearts these days with both of my babies who loveeeee to snuggle their mama!! I cherish these days!! Also… Judson will forever be my firstborn sweetheart and man I love how he loves to give mama kisses upon kisses!!

I love our little morning walk routine on these gorgeous trails by our house (and clearly so does Sweet Baby Rhett - who always takes one of his morning snoozes here)!!

These days are filled with lots of afternoon summer thunderstorms on our little screened-in porch (my great grandpa was SO smart when he built this cozy little home!!), babywearing on alllll our evening walks these days, lots and lots of brother lovin’ (be still my heart!!), yummy summer cooking with fresh tomatoes  from our garden, taking care of our chickies (who keep us well fed hehe), and newborn snuggles upon snuggles!!! Thank you, Jesus, for blessing me with my sweet husband Wes and this little country life with my babies I’ve always dreamed of!! I feel like my Mamaw & Papaw would be so proud to see the life we are living in in their little town these days - and man I sure do miss them!!

Core childhood memory unlocked!! We love you forever, John Deere, and you now have a lifelong customer in our little three year old boy (and his baby brother, too)!!! We are unashamedly in our “raising babies” era and a full weekend with no plans other than simply being together (& snuggling our lil’ newborn ofcourse!!) is our version of a dream weekend… and there truly is nothing better!!

It’s been the sweetest little cozy summer weekend around here and my home-lovin’ mama heart is filled to the brim with sweet family time and all the baby snuggles!!

And something I was reflecting on this morning while admiring all of our homegrown flowers in mason jars around my home was how much I love God’s attention to detail and His love for creating BEAUTY - which will forever be one of my favorite things about Him!

A weekend full of sweet little tummy time with our little lovey (go baby go!!), cozy naptime vibes around here these rainy afternoons, nature walks by the river (in between rain breaks),

post-dinner bike rides and sleepy babywearing walks with my loves, and front porch rockin’ the newborn and guitar playing with our little Judson hehe (who told us this morning that he was going to “be a guitar player at church” one day 🎶 and “play for all his friends”)- and that melted this mama’s heart!!! Happy Sunday, y’all!! These truly are the days and my summer-lovin’ heart has never been so full!!
