August Blog Post – Fifteen Months of Sweet Baby Levi Rhett

We sure are smitten with our littlest country baby boy cutie patootie, Sweet Baby Levi Rhett!!

Baby feet in a truck bed,

forever and ever amen!!

Life with this little angel and gift from God

just keeps on getting sweeter and sweeter every day

and we couldn’t be more grateful for fifteen months with him here in our arms –

and now WALKING, too!!

He started officially walking while we were down at the beach (just like Judson did – how sweet is that!!) a couple of weeks ago

and now is toddling around everywhere (but also still loves to babywear

and is the sweetest little koala bear hehe)

and it is the CUTEST and best stage ever hehe!!

Sweet baby boy,

you are such a ray of pure SONshine and light up every room you’re in with your precious dimples, bright blue eyes (that we get comments on everywhere we go… him and his brother!),

blonde hair (with the cutest whittle baby curls at the ends), cutest little giggle, and smile that melts everyone’s hearts!!

You absolutely adore your big “bubba”

(which, besides “mama,” is your favorite word to say these days!)

and want to do and keep up with everything he’s doing!

It truly is the sweetest gift that the Lord gave you each

a “built-in best friend” for life and brother (!!) so close in age!

I truly have loved having the same gender back-to-back for this reason,

and love watching their little relationship grow more and more everyday and see them truly starting to “play together” now – be still my heart!! And you are obsessed with your “doggie,” Red – and are always found cuddling with him any chance you can!

Another thing I pray I always remember about you this tiny is how much you LOVE music – particularly, Forrest Frank haha! You actually took your “first steps” to his new summer song “Lemonade” a couple months ago and now, every time you hear us play any of his music, you bop your little head and legs to the beat with the biggest wide-eyed smile across your face! You are my music-loving baby and love for me to sing you lullabies every naptime and nighttime as we nurse (the sweetest thing ever… 15 months of exclusively breastfeeding and still going strong and loving it!) and cuddle to sleep…. and it is the most special thing in the world!!

This has been such a joy-filled month for our family

and we are soaking up every bit of these late summertime days

before we welcome in the beauty and magic of fall after our Labor Day Weekend trip down to the beach house coming up!!

What a sweet month it’s been full of Judson’s first VBS Week at church (and we all got to help serve which was a huge blessing, too!),

days at the splashpad,

rainbows

over the pool,

a trip to the cutest farm-fresh icecream place close to our land,

#babysfirstwagonride (Sweet Baby Levi Rhett & Judson together in our radioflyer wagon was the cutest thing!),

butterflies in the garden,

summer nights at the pool,

new updated family of four photos out on our land (I have shared a bunch throughout this blog post and couldn’t be more in love with them!),

daily walks and jogs,

nightly bible story time,

days at the pool with my littles,

baby snuggles upon snuggles,

sooo many fresh-picked flowers

from the garden,

lots of trips out to our land and farm sweet farm,

days at the library and museum,

mornings out in the garden,

days at the park,

an early August

trip to the beach

(so much fun!),

Sweet Baby Levi Rhett learning to walk,

sunsets over the beach dock,

lots of babywearing by the sea,

lotsss of icecream haha,

Wes putting up Judson’s “big boy swing” so the boys can swing together side-by-side now,

evening walks on the trails,

slow mornings and afternoons out in the yard,

got our homeschool room (!!) all together

so I can start a little bit of

“homeschool preschool”

with Judson this year,

Wes put the driveway in out on our property for our forever home

(eek!! Just so exciting!!),

a playdate out to Strawberry Hill Farms with my bestie Emily and her babies,

playdates with church friends to the splash pad,

my babies “helping mama clean” in the kitchen haha,

letter tracing fun with chalk out in the backyard,

making the yummiest peach cobbler with our farm-fresh peaches,

starting a little learning fun

with our new homeschool room,

taking care of our chickens and collecting lotsss of eggs,

and so much more!!

These truly are the days!!

We are so grateful for this wonderful season of life as we soak in the sweetness of our babies both so little and also getting so giddy and excited for all that the Lord has in store ahead out on our 15 acre farm sweet farm – such a dream come true!

Full hands with littles and full hearts of gratitude as we chase after and build our dreams from the ground up  – Thank you, Lord!!
