One Whole Year of Sweet Baby Judson!

Tomorrow marks 12 months and ONE WHOLE YEAR of sweet baby Judson…
and boy oh boy, have our lives been forever changed for the better!
You truly are our sunshine, sweet boy, and we simply can never get enough of your sweet, silly, cuddly, strong, fun, giggly, and joyful little self!
You have the most precious personality shining through and every single day is an adventure getting to “explore” the world in a whole new way through your curious and wonder-filled bright blue eyes!
You are crawling (fast!!) all over the place, pulling up and standing on everything, and love to practice “walking” holding mommy and daddy’s hands!
You are a summer baby through and through and want to be outside 24/7 – just like your mama!
We have been spending so much time out in the backyard swinging in your baby swing, splashing around in your baby pool, blowing bubbles, “walking” in the grass, and “driving” around in your new little blue car (your birthday gift that you are in love with)!
This past month was, by far, my favorite yet - but let’s be real…
every month is my favorite because it truly does just keep on getting better and better.
I am LOVING this age and watching your little personality develop more and more each day as you grow and figure out new things!
You love to giggle at the smallest things and are just such a JOY-bringer!
You keep us all smiling and shine the brightest light already.
You have loved getting to spend lots of extra time with your “Nana” (my mom) this past month, as I have been spending two days a week completing my internship hours to complete my Master’s Degree in Professional Counseling.
And we had the BEST time celebrating you (a week early) last weekend at your adorable “wild one” backyard birthday party we got to throw for you!
It was the absolute sweetest day with close family and friends and so fun getting to rejoice in the past very best year of our lives with you –
and so special getting to see all of my dreaming and planning for the party come together!
You loved your birthday cake – and even put up some “praise hands” while eating it…
“Thank you Lord for this goodddd birthday cake!!” haha. Other exciting memories from this month were getting to celebrate our very first Mother’s Day together (with you outside of my belly) as well as getting to meet your baby cousin, Ellie, for the first time!
We have been celebrating your birthday all week long for your “birthday week,” and now are headed down (as we speak!) to the beach –
where we will get to spend your actual birthday – such a gift!!
We are having the time of our lives being your parents, sweet baby J, and thank Jesus daily for the gift and blessing you are to us!
God has amazing plans for your life, Judson Carpenter Mabry, and we consider it the greatest gift getting to have a front-row seat as we watch you grow into all He has called and created you to be!
You are sweet, you are strong, you are cherished, and you are LOVED, my angel baby boy!!

Last Mother’s Day I was praying over you growing in my belly, and this Mother’s Day I get to hold you in my arms!
With Mother’s Day this weekend AND sweet baby Judson’s first birthday in the same month, it’s hard to believe that I have had the honor and privilege to nurse, rock, and snuggle my sweet angel baby boy in this well-loved and worn rocking chair this past very best year of my life!
Thank you, Jesus, for the gift of motherhood and the joy upon joy that this sweet boy has brought into my life!!
So many hours upon hours and nights spent with my sweet boy snuggling in this very chair, and I wouldn’t trade any of it for the world!
A couple weeks back, we had the very best afternoon getting to meet Judson’s newest baby cousin - sweet, sweet Ellie!!
Aunt Emily loves you so much, baby girl!!
It was so fun getting to watch the babies playing together and we loved having my big sister, Laura, and her husband, Luke, down to visit!
We can’t wait for these two cuties to grow up the sweetest cousins and best buddies!!
Nothing better in the whole wide world than being this sweet baby boy’s mama!!
My boys make me feel special every day, but especially on Mother’s Day weekend -
with breakfast in bed on Saturday morning, all the snuggles, and baby giggles galore!!
There is nothing sweeter than seeing Wes be the most precious daddy to baby Judson,
and I love this simple life with all of my boys more than words describe!

This time last year, I was just about 9 months pregnant with you and wondering what you would be like -
and this year, here you are, and you are even sweeter than I could’ve ever dreamed!!
I have been forever changed for the better by your sweet, silly, cuddly, joyful, happy, and loving spirit - and you make every day a good day!!!
I truly cannot imagine my life before you, my baby boy!!
Thank you, Wes, for making this mama feel so loved - on Mother’s Day with the sweet “mama bear” bracelet, flowers, and cards (from both you and Judson - cue the tears!) I woke up to on Mother’s Day morning, and every single day of the year!!
I am so blessed by my sweet boys and our precious baby bear cub hehe!!
I will never get over the GIFT that it is getting to be your mama, sweet baby J!
You are my sun, my moon, and all of my stars - and I will never stop thanking Jesus for entrusting me with you -
especially now getting to celebrate my very first Mother’s Day!!

We got some family photos done with my sweet friend, Hannah Obremskey, and got them back just in time for Mother’s Day and Judson’s first birthday – such a treat! I have shared many of them throughout this blog!
We love you, Hannah, and you are so so gifted at what you do! We are so thankful for how you always capture such precious memories for us!!
And for a little life update: midway through this past month I began my final internship to complete my Master’s Degree in Professional Counseling, and I am excited and expectant for what God has in store ahead - and so thankful for my two biggest cheerleaders in my boys along my entire grad school journey!! To God be all the glory - forever and always!!

We took a trip to the local Piedmont Farm (to pick out flowers & see the baby chicks) and baby Judson loved getting to help plant them in our very own backyard the next afternoon!
Thankful for new life and all of the beauty in God’s amazing creation!!

We have been loving this beautiful time of year with our May baby!!
