October Blog Post - Harvest Season Blessings!

This October and “harvest season” sure has been full of abundance and blessings –

and our hearts are overflowing with gratitude for all that the Lord is doing.

And with that, today marks yet another wonderful month with our little Judson

(29 months old today haha!)

and it somehow (!!!) just continues to get sweeter and sweeter…

and we are soaking up the present joys in this beautiful fall time of year,

while also so very very excited for what the Lord has in store ahead!!

"I will praise you, Lord, with all my heart; I will tell of all the marvelous things you have done." // Psalms 9:1

“There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens…” // Ecclesiastes 3:1

I was telling a friend the other week,

but one of the qualities I love the most about our Heavenly Father is that He is a God of ABUNDANCE!

Jesus came to Earth to give us life to the FULL, and I have always believed in living an abundant life –

seeking out all the little joys all around us and living a life full of gratitude!

Every single day and every breath is a gift to be cherished and never taken for granted…

and man, these truly are the sweetest days with our little Judson –

and I don’t want to miss a thing!!

“…I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.” // John 10:10

Between all of the pumpkins and stunning fall leaves around our home,

this “harvest time” of year always brings me such joy!

Every time I look at my boys running out to the chicken coop

to check on the ladies

(and collect our many many eggs these days haha) or running around the yard playing with our sweet dog Red,

I have just been overwhelmed with thankfulness –

for my beautiful family and this one beautiful life Jesus has given us to live and steward well – for His great glory!

I pray that I can be the mother that He is calling me to be

and continue to raise my family up to know and love Jesus more than anything in this world –

what I believe to be the greatest calling on my life!!

Thanking Jesus for the gift of today,

and so many precious moments with the people I love the most –

my sweetest “harvest season blessings” of all!

“Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.” // James 1:17

…Now onto a little more detail on this past month and some sweet memories we have been soaking in and that I want to bottle up and remember forever!!

We started off the new month celebrating “National Sons Day” with our little bundle of love, laughter, fun, and joy -

our precious outdoors, animal-loving,

farm and tractor-obsessed firstborn son!!!

Oh, how we love you so, sweet Judson!!

Forever thankful you first made me a mama!! #nationalsonsday

Then we spent the happiest first little fall friday spent at the Nix Pumpkin Patch

with the cutest lil’ pumpkin in the patch!!

We have so very much to be thankful for

and had the very best time soaking in this beautiful harvest season with one of our favorite fall traditions of all -

letting Judson pick his very own pumpkins right from the vine!! #falltraditions

We had the sweetest most fun-filled fall weekend rounding out the month of September

and welcoming in October with our lil’ pumpkin!!

We went to the pumpkin patch,

enjoyed lots of bubbles on the porch,

Judson got a new little haircut -

SOO handome hehe,

have read allll the fall books,

drove out to see our land

(& all of the “cow cows” right by it!),

went to a sweet little friend’s birthday party,

and loved worshipping Jesus at church (click here to swipe over and see the sweetest video from that Sunday morning, where Judson is saying “that’s my house!!!” as we pulled into church - my mamas heart was so thankful to hear how much he loves the house of God)!!

Soaking in these precious days with our little pumpkin

and excited for what this season holds ahead for our family!!

God is just so good!!

“I’m so glad I live in a world where there are Octobers” - Anne of Green Gables

It has been such a special special time full of so much JOY in the Mabry household,

and we are praising Jesus for this beautiful harvest season

and His gifts from above!!

I love spending my days making such sweet fall memories with little Judson

and watching his love for seeing the leaves changing colors

(and his beautiful masterpiece painting of the leaves and pumpkins hehe)

and all things fall!!

What a gift this season is!!

Happy happy fall, y’all!!

We had the best little time out at the local Cherry Mountain Farm a couple of weekends back

- playing on the tractors,

running through the “pumpkin house,”

getting lost in the corn maze,

enjoying yummy icecream,

and petting the goats -

Judson’s favorite!!

I love making special fall memories with my country boys -

and am soaking in every bit of this sweet season

in this precious little town!!!

Between going to the corn maze with our little country boy,

wearing all of our fall jammies these cooler mornings,

the most magical fall wedding down in Georgia

to celebrate Claire and Drew,

Judson getting to stay back and spend Saturday with “Nana & Papaw”

and have an absolute ball,

and taking our first “fall temps” evening walk

down to our favorite spot overlooking the mountains -

it sure was a full and joyful weekend!!

We are oh so grateful for this simple and beautiful life Jesus has given us to live!!

Last weekend was definitely one of those “weekends for the books” and our hearts are truly overflowing with JOY!!

God is just so good, and man, what a sweet fall season this has been!!

We took Judson for a fun little hayride fall adventure over at Strawberry Hill,

went on a “day date” with my man driving on the Blue Ridge Parkway to see all of the beautiful changing leaves,

andddd the happiest time EVER getting to celebrate my college bestie/roomie getting ENGAGED to the man of her dreams!!!!

This has been the hardest secret to keep -

but man, the most JOYOUS moment to see the joy on your best friend’s face!!

We could NOT be happier for y’all, McKenzie and Dan - congrats congrats congrats!!

What a weekend!! #shesaidYES!!!

And I LOVED getting to make this special sign for the happy couple for their surprise engagement party - such a joy!!

Soaking in all of the breathtaking changing leaves around our home this time of year -

a visible reminder of God’s intricate attention to detail and beauty in His glorious Creation!

There truly is nothing like fall in the south!!
